Field Fairies

Soccer, Sports

My ol’ lady is all into world class soccer. Specifically, Mexican Futbol. And of course she has to watch it on KMEX. Here’s a small sample of what I gotta listen to:

The guy in the background keeps repeating “Errores! Errores!” Which means it was all an error and not a goal after all. Drives me nuts.

I didn’t really mind it that bad until this year, though. Now while the above racket was bad enough, the 2010 World Cup has brought us this new South African melody:

Please, Momma! Can you watch that crap with the sound turned off? Thanks for ruining the World Cup? Just a bunch of field fairies, anyway. Nothing I’d toot my horn about. –  Submitted Pancho de la Mancha – Rancho Cucamonga, CA

  • of all the nerve! Why do we celebrate Independence Day when we are so dependent on our government?
  • of all the nerve! Many thanks to the businesses who leave their neon "open" sign on when they're closed. I always feel like such an idiot when I walk into their locked doors.
  • of all the nerve!Q: Do you know what really burns my tail? A: A flame about three feet high.
